AT&T upgrades Keys cell sites
AT&T recently added more capacity to 50 cell sites in South Florida, including Monroe County. The additional capacity can handle more traffic, and AT&T customers can expect improved mobile Internet capacity and voice performance, according to a company press release.
The areas benefitting from the upgrades in Monroe County include Marathon, Key Largo and Tavernier, the release states.
More specifically, upgrades were made in the areas around the Overseas Highway and U.S. 1 in Marathon, Largo Road and Magnolia Street in Key Largo and the Overseas Highway in Tavernier, AT&T spokeswoman Kelly Starling wrote in an email to The Citizen.
