Participation in 2012 elections is laudable

Get ready for some hotly contested races for public office.

It seems as if more people than usual qualified this year to take on those in office, as well as open seats.

We're all for the high numbers and we thank all those who are vying to become, or continue to be, public servants.

Rivera opponent has a name

So David Rivera will face "opposition" in the November 6 general election. Is it the Citizen's intention to avoid mentioning Joe Garcia's name to avoid providing additional name recognition? This is a close enough race that failing to provide a name could look like the Citizen is biased in favor of Mr. Rivera. Of course, that is your right, but try to be a little more transparent, please.
