FIRM has a plan for affordable insurance

Six years ago, when Citizens Property Insurance Corp. announced steep rate hikes for its windstorm policies in Monroe County, a small group of homeowners banded together to fight the increases. Those residents formed an organization known as Fair Insurance Rates in Monroe, or FIRM.
