Political lies don't serve our best interest

We expect exaggerations, distortions and even sham positions set up to be ridiculed, because it's an election year. But bald faced lies -- by either party -- aren't helpful. A friend recently sent me an article by Prof. Paul Buchheit citing a number of "big lies," or "inventive accusations" if you prefer euphemisms.
