“Mrs. Patsy”

Patricia Joyce Weech, 78, of Key West, Florida passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Lower Keys Medical Center after a hard battle with cancer. 

She was born on April 3, 1939 at Key West. She is the daughter of the late Edmond “Slim” St. Pierre and Lois (Knowles) St. Pierre. 

Patsy was a graduate of Key West High School Class of 1957. She was employed by the Monroe County School District for 22 years. She was on the board of the Monroe County Teachers Federal Credit Union, where she was deeply devoted and loved. 

She was a member of the Moose Lodge No. 1760 since 1969, Elks Lodge, American Legion and AARP. 

Patsy was a great caregiver to all, and loved her family and her many friends. She was just a JOY. She loved to dance and have family time. She was preceded in death by her parents and ex-husband and father of her children, Gary Weech; former companion Randy Warren; son Rodney Weech; and grandson Frank “Spankie” Ramirez. 

Surviving is her companion Billy Russell; son Steven Weech, daughter and bestfriend Tricia (Frankie) Weech-Ramirez, son Jeffery (Susan) Weech; daughter in law Christine Weech; brother Edmond “Butch” (Vivian) St. Pierre; sister Linda (Eddie) Cassidy; grandchildren Steve, Samantha, Chelsea, Anthony, Alexa, Audrey, Sarah, Jeffery, Cassie Rose, Michael Jack, Connor, Samantha and Mitchell, her many nieces and nephews, she loved and adored her 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at Peace Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2610 Flagler Ave. Key West, at 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, 2017. Burial will be in the Southern Keys Cemetery Big Coppitt Key. A celebration of her life gathering will be held at the American Legion following the burial.
