Key West Citizen is searching for an Outside Advertising Consultant for the Key West area. Territory is already established, so we're looking for an aggressive sales and marketing consultant (not an order taker) who enjoys working with business people to help them to market and grow their businesses.

Successful previous sales experience is helpful but not required. You will be responsible for growing business in the assigned territory by managing a customer base and developing new customers for our group of publications. You will develop and implement a daily and weekly sales plan and be responsible for reaching a monthly revenue goal.

The Key West Citizen is currently accepting applications for Home Delivery Carriers in Big Pine This is an Independent Contractor position where contractor will be required to deliver papers before 6am 7days a week to all home delivery subscribers on the assigned route. All routes take approx. 4 hours to complete. Payrate is per paper delivered and contractors are paid weekly. Contractor is responsible for providing own transportation and must have valid driver's license and insurance. Contractor is responsible for all expenses.

COMPOSING DEPARTMENT

The Citizen is hiring a creative ad designer for our Key West offi ce to help our advertisers succeed.

Successful candidates will be comfortable using Macintosh publishing applications: Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Excellent organizational and typing skills, attention to detail, the ability to work as a team on multiple projects under deadline, and a positive, professional attitude are the keys to success.
Job duties include:
  • Design client ads and in-house promotions to specifications.
  • Prepare overlays for newspaper production.
  • Assist with preparing classifieds.
  • Assist with editorial layout for special sections.

EDITORIAL DEPARTMENT

Immediate opening for talented, motivated writers to do feature stories for multiple publications here in Key West.

Journalism degree with experience preferred, but would consider new graduates with college paper/internship background skills. Strong grasp of grammar, spelling and punctuation required, along with a commitment to accuracy and excellence.
