The Monroe County state attorney will look into allegations that a former school administrator, and possibly other employees, used district-issued credit cards to purchase personal items, possibly avoiding paying state sales tax.
Dennis Ward made that decision Friday, soon after School Board Chairman Andy Griffiths dropped off credit card bills and other documents to his off...
Get real
People have always come here for the weather
People have usually left here because of the conch 'hospitality'
You really do think you are above everyone else because you've been in a shallow gene pool for five generations?
Consider that your five generations made little of the Keys until the influx of civilized outsiders made something of what you and yours had left to fallow for decades
Your crude comments speak more loudly to my position than whatever bigoted point you are trying to make
.
blindly voting in lock-step for fellow bubbas from Key West to Ocala, does not an honest and hardworking citizen make .... take a good look at the $80 million 'students' who can't cross the street in high school without four octogenarian sheriffs' employees ....
For these prices we should expect the kids to be able to top the FCAT tests .... instead we have police stationed in the schools because the school board can't or won't exert control over administration or students
.
get your facts straight....there is [sic] not four crossing guards there is [sic] only two.
ROTFLOL .... thats your objection to his comment ... it only takes two old conchs to cross high school students in a 15 mph zone????
another KW High School honor student ... LOL
.
Well then even thought it's all true, I guess it's all ok ... because it might happen somewhere else
They should make you a Monroe County Judge and award you a membership in the Key West Yacht Club ... you would be in good company
.
You're quite correct, I did forget about the Pirate Princes Club.
The conch aristocracy bubba it up nightly on the taxpayer's back in their own private 'club' with their sweetheart $1 a year lease from the city for the Key West Yacht Club.....
ex parte extraordinaire .... It's always a ca$h and carry bar at the affordable play house where the elite (and the wanna-be elite) meet with the unfrocked and pickled to break bread and cut deals.... judges don't bring their robes or gavels but everyone gets hammered regardless....
And just to rub our noses in it, the Yacht Club then sublets for a handsome profit, a healthy portion of the waterfront property it leases from the city for $1 a year ....
Break the bubba lease let them sue for the $1 per year for the balance of the 100 year lease and turn the property into a rateable ...
We not only have to pay the conchs municipal and county salaries and pensions from cradle to grave, we have to subsidize their elite's recreational after hours with their own private Yacht Club
.
Oh he came from Chicago ... now there's a resume enhancer .... that must prove he's an honest politician .... now what have we heard about the veracity of Chicago politicians lately ?
