Home School High School (HS2) Spanish students have been working on creating menus and ordering food in Spanish. They also have waited on tables in class to practice their Spanish skills in a real-world setting.
The culmination of the class will be lunch at one of our local Cuban restaurants and ordering en Español, por supuesto! Que tenga buen verano!
HS2 is proud to graduate two students this year. Kyle Galvez and Cecily Symington received their diplomas on June 6.
Kyle is enlisting in the Navy with hopes of pursuing a career in aviation. Cecily will attend Florida Atlantic University in the fall, majoring in environmental science. They are both happy and excited to be starting their respective post-high school adventures.
Daisy Murtha, a junior, has completed her advanced math course and received her SAT scores of 1950. She is hoping for scholarships, so she can attend college in New York city to pursue a BFA in fashion design.
We are now accepting students for the 2009-2010 school year. HS2 is a nonprofit, home school high school administered by an all-volunteer parent board. HS2 has an average student/instructor ratio of 7:1. For more information, call 305-292-0075 or e-mail hs2keywest@aol.com.
