$10,000 invoice points to Monique
Records claim missing studio equipment ordered for MARC House

Former Adult Education Coordinator Monique Acevedo purchased a $10,000 professional television production control unit in November 2007, saying it was for the MARC House program at May Sands School, according to an invoice from a video supply firm and a district inventory record.

looks as if investigators have located the 10k piece of video equipment in yet another storage room at the high school. i think those things have some type of memory/storage in them. hope they check.

The video equipment left a lot of data on the media used in it including date/time/serial#s/etc. I would like to have a copy to view and forensically check it out this after all we did pay for it. Has any one seen it?

Seems like no one can do their job.If the States Attorneys office had control of the storage unit an nventory should have been done at the time of taking control. If an inventory was done then they should have known the video equipment was there onths ago. Now that they suddenly find it now indicates lack of control and no chain of custody. Sounds like a reason for charges to be droped in the end. I don't know what is more depressing the school board and its administration or the incompetent investigation. Oh yeah, why were the computers stored at MCSB instead of the States Attorney's. Every day I just shake my head. CAN'T ANYONE do their job.

If I were the other kids, I'd be mad as heck. It looks like the youngest, their daughter, got three pair of gloves,maybe $150. Their middle son might have gotten a new band instrument, around $450. Their oldest son gets almost $16,000 in video equipment? Talk about favoritism! Or maybe it's his payoff to keep quiet. Only the shadow knows!

is the guy who has almost the cojones to ask Acevedo to quit and later after I am sure the pressure of all the Babas members to change his mind. Steve Peberonsky . We need a new school board members, I can tell you that this been happening for years but they start diggin the will get more and more durty stuff... The all guilty...what a bunch of ignorants! because the School Board's Gang of Three is clearly responsible for this mess. Walker, Griffiths and Mathewson all voted Pribramsky and Dick down every time they demanded fiscal responsibility. They were viciously accused of micro-managing every time they questioned something their darling Acevedo did. We absolutely DO NOT need to replace the only two with any brains and any guts and any intelligence!!!

Perhaps the Bubbas feel it's best to replace all 5 so they have a chance of taking over the School Board again?? They can pretty much know that Walker is not going to be re-elected, and more than likely, neither will Mathewson. Griffiths? All the money in the world won't get him re-elected after he purposefully dragged his feat on this and hindered the investigation from the get-go.

Can anyone tell me where to find the three videos that were made by Wade Acevedo pursuant to the $6,000.00 contract? I have looked at the Adult Education website. There is only one video for American History that doesn't seem to relate to Adult Education, and it's not promotional in nature.

I saw it there this afternoon. It was a big moving truck, not a uhaul and it was in sitting on the street outside either the Acevedo house or the neighbours. I remember telling the person in the car with me that I thought that was the street they lived on. I just looked up the street and house number and yes it was right there as of 3pm this afternoon.

No one is making fun of the MARC group. All of the people in Key West are very proud of all they have accomplished. They are an important part of this community. MO is the one who is the [alleged] thief here. What kind of person would steal from our kids and the MARC group. We work along side of the MARC group, we support their tireless efforts selling their XMAS trees each year. Yes they do have special needs and certainly did not deserve to be treated as they were by MO.
