


Former Adult Education Coordinator Monique Acevedo has been granted a public defender to represent her against criminal charges of stealing more than $180,000 in school money.
The Public Defender's Office has declared her indigent, according to a financial affidavit in which she declared she has no income, $237,000 in debt, $100 in one bank account and $2,500 in savings.
