School administrators who an investigative report blamed for the financial scandal will have contracts next year, based on a 3-2 vote in which board members John Dick and Steve Pribramsky voted no.
Board Chairman Andy Griffiths and members Duncan Mathewson and Debra Walker voted to retain the administrators, pending a final investigative report expected to be completed within a month or so, Mathewson said.
"We reserve the right to make changes as we see fit," Mathewson said.
Attorney Latour Lafferty, who the School Board hired to advise it through the scandal fallout, urged the board to postpone any personnel decisions until it determines there are no more damning revelations.
The employees included Finance Director Kathy Reitzel, purchase card administrator Linda Walker, Transportation Director Dori Collins and Vocational Education Coordinator Mark Hooper.
Hooper is slated to return to the classroom next year as a teacher, however.
