Lawyers circle wagons
Acevedos want to keep details mum

Attorneys for Schools Superintendent Randy Acevedo and his wife, Monique, have asked a judge to prohibit the State Attorney's Office from obtaining the couple's work e-mails and other electronic communications, and from talking publicly about the criminal charges against them.

use public computers, equipment, technology and systems for personal communication and it's law that ALL correspondence in this manner is open to the public and they all agree to it at every turn, this is just a delay tactic, to allow St. James to further destroy evidence. If he is found to have done so, he should serve the same jail time as MOnique. RICO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Give me a break! What frivolity. This is an exchange of business information between an employer and employee using publicly owned equipment. Spousal privilege is reserved for pillow talk and not the boardroom under Florida's sunshine law. JFKulick

This Motion is a non-starter. There is ample precident to deny such a frivolous motion to supress public documents here in Florida alone

This is probably the same person who always has something to say about the bubba system!!!If you hate it so much then LEAVE KEY WEST!! I am a paralegal and this is a commonly used tactic, especially when some of those e-mails may contain personal information that may harm others not involved with this fiasco!!The Judge will probably want the motion revised because legally the e-mails are public record but the courts as well as the schoolboard are allowed to have certain information redacted if the motion does not specify what information is wanted. It's not the bubba system in the FOIA!! Learn your laws!!!

On the 700 block of Olivia near Galveston, on Tuesday morning a rather nervous, thin 40s-ish woman with dark curly hair waited behind the bushes in a condo parking lot

Randy Aceveto pulled up in his reddish pick up. The woman popped out into the street and gave Randy a packet of papers and they spoke for about 30 seconds before she nervously walk/ran around the corner to her car

I'm sure it was just a chance meeting

They have no bail, no real assets and tons of debt. Think they're NOT planning to blow this town? The no-bail thing was a HUGE mistake by the Bubba judge. They have nothing to hold them here anymore. They're not even liked by the Conch population. Their Bubba benefactors have to be furious that they've blown the cover for the whole criminal Bubba enterprise. They are now known as scum by 99% of the town. They can leave the two remaining kids with their classy grandfather Acevedo and head to the littler latitudes. No skin off their crooked, thieving noses. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if they pulled a 'Bum Farto'.
