School Board members accused of breaking state Sunshine Law

KEY WEST: The State Attorney's Office has received a complaint alleging that School Board members John Dick and Steve Pribramsky broke the Sunshine Law by being at the BottleCap Lounge in Key West together last week after a board meeting.

They were at the same table as School Board attorney Richard Collins and Tampa lawyer Latour Lafferty, hired to look at personnel issues related to the school scandal. According to Dick and Pribramsky, someone photographed them with a cell phone and this week sent the photo along with a written complaint to the state attorney.

The Government-in-the-Sunshine law forbids elected officials on the same board from meeting and discussing items that may come up for a vote without advertising it to the public.

Pribramsky and Dick said they didn't discuss pending School Board business and were in the presence of attorneys who would have stopped them from being there if it had been unlawful.

Witch Hunt!!!!

Looks like Randy and his thug, bubba gang have all but pulled out their torches and pitchforks. Not only did John and Steve get verbally accosted by his two goons at the Bottle Cap, now they are accused of breaking Sunshine Laws. Randy's side has been threatening them ever since they got on the board. Just last week, Randy's Dad cursed them out at a board meeting and who can forget the threatening letters sent by lawyer Frank Greenman aka "No S**T". Steve's son's car was also vandalized. I am disgusted by the behavior of these bully thugs. I just pray that John and Steve don't get hurt anymore than they have already been.

They can explain away the meeting, but the SAO also has emails between Dick and Pribramsky discussing district business. When people sit so very high on their horses, they ought to be extraordinarily meticulous about the rules as they apply to themselves.

They will get a slap on the hand. They didn't steal from the school system and if anything this just proves how they have been the only ones looking after the money.

Bottle Cap Meeting

I was at the Bottle Cap that night. Did whoever took the pictures mentioned above also take pictures of Randy, his brother and another bubba at the BC on the same night while they were shouting loud, disparaging comments about Pribramsky and Dick? I've got a lot of other witnesses to that. Or were the pictures taken by Randy or one of his goons as they stalk and try to intimidate school board members? Hey Randy, guess what ... I carry a camera too!

You can tell the low class School Board Main Office Gang is getting pretty worried and are using desperate measures trying to dig up dirt to try to justify that by stealing taxpayer money is no big deal. If you listen carefuly to Randy, Bookie, debra walker, and others that say the board is spending to much money on lawyers and auditors I wonder whos fault is that its the ones who did the stealing and the others that look the other way. Remember its going to cost money to clean up the bad apples at the admin building and as a taxpayer im willing to pay my taxes to help clean up all the stealing going.

I know Dick and Pribramsky have nothing to hide. I also know that Griffin, Walker and Mathewson are done. There inability to serve the public good is evident. I will be setting up a 429 to make sure these three never hold public office again. Anyone care to make a donation?

Do you know how many times I've seen Randy, Andy, Duncan, Deborah, and Steve at Finnegans Wake after a board meeting? C'mon folks. This is Key West. All I can say is at least the Bottle Cap rendezvous was a fund raiser and the stop at Finnegan's wasn't! Sounds like an Acevedo supporter is trying to defame the dynamic duo.

My "guess" is that it was Sandy Higgs. She is so desperate to keep her children feeding at the school district trough. ... She also recently threw down the gauntlet at an open Rotary meeting, shaming both the Rotary club and herself in the process.

These Bubbas better watch out because if they try to fight a 'Sunshine Law' battle, they're going to lose. An attorney would never allow that to happen. As for a similar scenario with Bubbas, of course, none of the Bubba attorneys crawl out of their holes where there is light to see their faces, so they're not there to stop the Bubbas from their constant sunshine law violations. (And what about the people who saw the old MCBOCC Gang of Three at the lobster house, with developers and with McPherson that night. Hmm...think that wasn't a Sunshine Violation?)
