Subpoenas flow in schools case
Sworn statements sought from finance director, investigators and others

Monroe County School Board employees, criminal investigators and a MARC House employee have all been subpoenaed to give depositions next week in the case of Florida v. Randy Acevedo, board attorney Richard Collins said Friday.

Finance Director Kathy Reitzel, purchase card administrator Linda Walker, Acevedo's administrative assistant Sandy Shaw and other witnesses were subpo...

Hunter put it best...

I have run amok in Naples & suffered terrible boat crashes in the waters off Miami & the treacherous channels of Key West. ... I have run aground at midnight on sandbars far out in the ocean; I have lost control of my boat in many posh marinas & been rescued at sea by the Coast Guard so often that they came to recognize my voice on the short-wave radio. I have known great happiness in Florida & I still have a certain love for it. But I also know it to be the most corrupt & profoundly degenerate state in the Union. So many of its elected officials are so openly For Sale that politics in Florida is more like an auction than a democratic process. Its Congressmen have been jailed for Felony Fraud & its Senators have routinely committed more heinous crimes than Richard Nixon was ever accused of. ... More murders & rapes go unreported in Florida each year than in Corsica & Sicily combined. The state has no Income Tax & essentially no Law. Its cities are ruled by Depraved sots & its Universities are snake-pits of cheating & random sex in Public. The libraries are filled with Beer-Drunkards looking for Skull sessions & beautiful girls who are proud & Eager to oblige them. Oral sex is more common on the streets of Miami in the daylight hours than anywhere else in America. - Hunter S. Thompson

GOVERNOR CRIST, WHERE ARE YOU?

Are you just too busy with your campaigning to care about Monroe County. It's been almost 2 months and we are still being ruled by the Bubba regime. The voters deserve action from you. NOW!

Debra Walker just doesn't stop

Now Walker wants to pay people for the time they take to testify. School Board policy states that when a person testifies they must take personal time to do so. She now wants taxpayers to pay these people for doing their civic duty. When will this woman stop cheating the taxpayers and kids? How about getting back the three hours that were wasted while people in the school district watched the School Board meeting during the day and cheered Chimo Acevdo. Are you going to ask the employees to make up the three hours of taxpayer's time that they ripped off to watch TV Mrs. Walker? I highly doubt it. She has to be the worst elected official we currently have in office.

The School Board HAS NO SUCH

The School Board HAS NO SUCH policy, but you just go ahead and throw mud to see where it lands, regardless of the facts. Its easy to attack people with the wrong facts when you post annonymously; then you can't be held accountable for your inaccurate statements.

It has no policy but

Employees aren't paid if the testimony has to do with a case the school board is not involved in. Now, the state has charged Randy and Mnoique; the state did not charge the employees. So, though the case does not involve charges against the school district, it does involve school district employees. The board will decide Tuesday whether to pay them. Pribramsky is against it because employees have time to watch the school board meetings on TV and cheer throughout the building as Randy's dad calls them bad names on TV.

Hey Tax Payers dont let the school board fool you!

Hey Tax Payers did you see the school budget report in the citizen? Student enrollment is falling like a rock and everyting else on the graphs is going up what a crock. I wonder what the raise percentage is for the last three years? you also notice how they group in to three years instead of a yearly graph that so you can hide the real picture of whats going on a year to year basis. I hope there is not going to be raise for any schoolboard staff because they need to feel the pain like the rest of us and not put more salt in our wonds.

Defense Is More Agressive Than Prosecution

Ward's failure to indict anyone else and his failure to turn anyone in Bookie's cabal does not portend well for the the citizens he represents

My friend, you should go

My friend, you should go live in Cuba where the prosecutors are more to your liking.

Or maybe....

Or maybe there really is only one person involved...

What are you smoking?

Time for you to pass the pipe

So Ward

should just indict everyone that knows Randy or Bookie just because. That's some great evidence you've got there. Good thing Ward understands that a Prosecutor fails in his job if he indicts people just because thay know someone.

Open your eyes

If you look at the other cases he has prosecuted that is exactly what he is doing. If you helped on his campaign you get a "get out of jail free card." If you were his client before he became State Attorney he dropped the charges against you. If you supported Kohl you get investigated and your name smeared all over the papers - even if there is no crime! Ward's record shows that he has already failed in his job.
