Celia Stearns, daughter of Wayne and Priscilla Stearns of North Vernon, Ind. and Punta Gorda, Fla., married Todd Hitchins, son of Kathy Warner and Bob Simmons of Marshfield, VT and Don and Sandy Hitchins of Andover, Mass. on June 27 at 5:30 p.m. in a double-ring ceremony at Fort Zachary Taylor in Key West, officiated by Marney Brown of Big Pine Key.
Maid of honor was Melissa Giddens, aunt of the bride, of North Vernon, Ind. Bridesmaids were Lindsay Stafford of Enterprise, Ala., Lindsey Laskowski of Austin, Texas, and Mary Berta of Las Vegas, Nev.
Best man was Paul Agnor of Topsham, Maine. Groomsmen were John Robichaud of Dover, NH, Joe Loiacano of St. John, British Virgin Islands, and Moe Simmons of New York City.
The bride is a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, Ind., and is presently employed with the Florida Dept. of Environmental Protection in Marathon as an environmental permitting specialist.
The groom is a graduate of Evergreen State College of Washington State and is presently employed with the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary as the education and outreach coordinator in Key West.
The couple, who make their home on Cudjoe Key, planned a two-week bare-boat sailing charter in Tortola.
