Tyree accepts college helm
Interim president experienced with troubled campuses
Larry Tyree has accepted the interim president position at Florida Keys Community College.
Tyree, who's been an interim community college president five times in his 30-year career, was chosen Monday after the FKCC Board of Trustees interviewed him and two other experienced community college presidents Monday. The board offered Tyree the appointment.
Finally, FKCC gets a leader. Goodbye Dr. Jill!

Dr. Boyle, I hope you finally realize this is not about your office, or the Board, or the employees or the attorney or the Spottswoods, or the Mayor, and the Dorm Board or the Provost or the ______________(fill in the blank). -------------------------STOP BLAMING OTHERS-It's about you Dr. Boyle. You could have still been President if you had changed some of your ways. Any person could come in an fire people and shine, but it we're going to need a real leader, with proven track record of building trust from employees, the Board and the Community to lead FKCC into the future. That person is Larry Tyree, and the FKCC employees already love him and are not afraid of him, no fear- just respect for a man who deserves it!

The college is full of inbred lazy employees. Tyree needs to clean house and get the ones boyle missed.

The 99 dollar question is will Tyree clean out those lazy employees that threw out a perfectly good president because she made them work?

There aren't any lazy employees there, only misdirected staff as a result of poor leadership waiting for one direction to follow. There will not be anymore tail chasing and wondering what to do.

from her palacial office and claimed it for himself. And, he did it in a very classy way: he got the Board to do it. Get over it - Jill's firing parade is over now so we can all sigh in relief. She did't make anyone work, she made us cringe, and now she is embarrasing herself with her continued undermining of the College. Tyree, will quiet her down. You can bet on it.

Will this new pres have some guts

or will he be under the heel of the big power players that Boyle refused to accommodate. No doubt Boyle had little tact and moved to remove dead wood a little too fast and that was her downfall. Unfortunately Boyle didn't have a few more years to move FKCC to a 4 year college with class. Too rough around the edges and those she removed too poisonous
