Highway stops result in 36 citations, 1 arrest

Multiple law enforcement agencies converged on U.S. 1 Thursday, stopping 59 vehicles and issuing 36 tickets.

Dennis Earl Cooper, 27, of Key Largo, was charged with possession of cocaine. Cooper also had an active warrant for battery at the time of his arrest, reports say.
