PLANTATION KEY -- The young man who had sex with a 16-year-old girl in a home-made porn movie must register as a sexual offender and serve five years' probation after pleading "no contest" in circuit court Monday.
Derek Williams, 19, was filmed last March while having sex with the girl at a Key Largo apartment while eight other teens egged them on.
Two other teens, also over 18, were previously sentenced to two years of probation, but were not designated sexual offenders.
The difference, according to Assistant State Attorney Colleen Dunne, arose when Williams also tried to encourage a 14-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity while the camera recorded his advances.
The court withheld adjudication on two other counts related to the porn production, thereby sparing him from becoming a convicted felon.
Williams was also charged with two other counts, including contributing to the delinquency of a minor, but those charges were dropped in exchange for his plea.
Williams will serve up to five years' probation, 180 days in county jail (with credit for whatever time served since his arrest in March) and must pay court costs as well as the cost of investigation and prosecution.
He was also ordered to obtain a psycho-sexual evaluation followed any recommended treatment.
Williams is also to have no contact with any of the codefendants, be subjected to random urinalysis and was ordered not to possess any pornographic images, videos or literature.
