


Free named KEYS' employee of quarter
Gaylen Russell Free has been named Keys Energy Services' Outstanding Employee of the Fourth Quarter.
Free has worked for the utility for 30 years and currently serves as a line supervisor in the Transmission & Distribution department, where he oversees crews and contractors.
Employees are considered for the award after being nominated by their peers and/or supervisors. Final selection of the outstanding employee is based on several factors, which include attendance, attitude, efficiency, initiative and job performance.
Free's name will be engraved on a perpetual plaque that hangs in the William Arnold Service Building lobby, and he will receive a $250 bonus and an extra day off.
Centennial Bank awards Star Tellers
Centennial Bank congratulated its employees who earned the Star Teller Award: Monica Grodzinski, Key West Old Town branch; Ashley Todd, Big Pine branch; Jessica Lugo, Marathon main branch; Sally Glass, Islamorada branch; and Vincent Hall, Key Largo branch.

Fishermen's honors outstanding employees
An awards ceremony and ice cream social were held at Fishermen's Hospital last month to announce the outstanding employees of the quarter. Recipients are: Outstanding Employee, David Canter, Information Systems; Outstanding Manager, Susan Bousum, director of case management; and Outstanding Nurse, Cherie Dunford, Medical-Surgical. The Outstanding Volunteer is Bob Schott, who volunteers in the Emergency Department.
Healthy Start Coalition welcomes Roach
Leigh Ann Roach has joined the Florida Keys Healthy Start Coalition as the community liaison. She will be responsible for education and outreach throughout the county about the mission, programs and resources of the coalition.
Roach will work closely with physicians, new mother support groups, churches and community associations promoting positive experiences, help, resources and support for expectant moms, newborns and families.
Roach has previous experience with state-funded programs for children 3 and under and implementation of parental training grants for the state of Illinois.
