Ageless Joe Rozzero fires up Lane Real Estate

KEY WEST -- Even with bad knees, Joe Rozzero showed he can still whack the ball. The ageless wonder was perfect at the plate, going 4-for-4, providing Jimmy Lane Real Estate the punch it needed for a 15-4 win over Mel Fishers in highlights from the Key West Coed Softball League.

Teammate Patti Sprague stung a trio of base hits, classy Chrissy Lewis blasted a pitch over the leftfield net and into Virginia street and roped a two-base hit, sending three home, Brittney Burgess cracked a three-base hit and two base hit, Jim Guynn tripled and roped a single, speedsters Bridget Woods and Matt McLellan each singled twice and Craig Hills drilled two base hits.

Dylan Kibler and Elsie Filbrandt led Mel Fishers as Kibler doubled and singled and Filbrandt thumped a triple and a base hit. Darnell Henderson, Chris LaMay, Jeff Rodriquez each singled twice as Sharon Wiley, Ryan Stopala and Josh Abt added one hit apiece.

CONCH FARM 15,

KEY WEST FEDERAL CREDIT UNION 3

Amber Davis went 4-for-4, highlighted by a home run in the park and five RBI, Terry Worthington legged out a homer, tripled and added a base hit and Mike Carlson drove in three runs on three hits. Liana Payne sent three teammates home via a double and a single, Keia Hughes also homered in the park and singled for three RBI as Shannon Milliken and Eric Witten each singled for Conch Farm.

Donny Barrios led the financial institution, going 3-for-3, Randy Okum and Shawn Dekle each singled twice, Brandon Wallace hustled around the bases for a four-bagger and Laura Washington, Leandre Washington and Tamika Hines each singled.

Keia Hughes slugged a trio of doubles and tripled good for five RBI, Brittney Burgess drove in three runs on two doubles and two singles and David Sweeting doubled and slugged a trio of base hits to lead the Bertha street establishment. Joey Perez, Samantha Smithwick and Ricky Gonzalez each singled twice as Jim Hake, Steve Kramer, Ashley Machado and Carlos Sanchez added one hit each.

For the golfers, Paulina Smith out-hit her honey, nailing a pair of doubles and a single for three RBI, while Bart Smith hit a trio of base hits. Christine Posit doubled and ripped two singles, Justina Czerwinska, Sally Zeeman and Debbie Hindsley each singled twice, Patrick Flannigan tripled home three runs, Dustin Hunter slugged a three-base hit as Tina Hindsley and Andy Kempel stroked one hit each.

GHOST TOURS 24, STICK & STEIN 9

Ron Prater was 5-for-5 good for four RBI, Bridget Woods tripled twice and doubled, Veronica Brown hit for the cycle ripping the ball into Virginia street for four RBI, Claude Gardner drove home three runs on four hits, Morgan Wheat doubled and singled twice, sending four teammates home, Karen Cabanas, Bill Reick and Monica Mayock each drilled a trio of base hits, Paul Gardner tripled and doubled for three RBI as Brant Voss cracked two hits in Ghost Tours' 33-hit barrage.

James "Pops" Knowles hammered three hits to lead Stick & Stein. Jeanie Lopez, Oscar Norori, Steve Christian and Stick Harper each slugged two base hits and Katie Goldman, Ginny Matea, Tad Kimes and Dona Rosado each singled.

Kelly Malone went yard into Virginia street and singled three times, good for four RBI, Neil Mellies doubled twice and singled, Chrissy Lewis doubled and singled twice and Harry Milliken cracked three base hits to pace Big Uns. Ashia Garcia, Chris Needham and Shia Marzetti (double) each cracked two hits and R.J. Laskey and Brandon Druckenmiller added one hit each.

Sebago's Marlon Manresa slapped three base hits, Bridget Woods (double) and Jennifer Norat each nailed two hits, Nick Hogan doubled, Abby tripled and Fatz Yaniz, Veronica Brown, Chino Vergara and Bobcat Mathews each singled.

ANDY GRIFFITHS CHARTER 18,

IRISH KEVIN'S 3

Paul Sanchez drove in three runs on a two-base hit and three base hits, Clinton Storr doubled and singled three times and Eddie Griffiths nailed four hits to pace the charter fishermen. Troy Curry doubled three times and singled, Lara Ruskin doubled twice and singled for three RBI, Samantha Smithwick walloped three base hits, Judy Tomita, Paul Gardner and Amber Davis each singled twice and Keia Hughes slugged a three-base hit.

Irish Kevin's Matt McLellan doubled and singled, Robin Tomita whacked two singles and Nicole Yancey, Dave Heacock, Angela Robb and Josh Gordon nailed one hit apiece.

KIA MOTORS 4, T & W CHEVRON 2

Lauren Pazo, Armando Rojas, ChiChi Rodriquez and Pichuli Vega piloted two hits each for Kia Motors and Ariana Corsi and Samantha Smithwick each singled.

For T & W Chevron, Sharon Wiley singled twice, Tangela Thurston doubled as Ronnie Presley, Bobby Lowe, Ben Blattenberger and Chuck Malby cracked one hit apiece.
