KEY WEST -- It's hard to believe the end of the Key West Junior Football League is here already with the final regular season games played last Saturday at George Mira Field.
Only one team, Grim's Grill Cowboys, of the C Division went undefeated in the long season which began in August with the JFL Jamboree.
For postseason play, three squads of all-star players will begin practicing in earnest in their efforts to earn a berth in the Orange Bowl Youth Federation playoffs at Florida International Stadium in South Miami.
The A, B and C division teams all have a chance to make it to the big dance. The C Division, along with the Mighty Mights, play against Homestead in Key West, while the B and A squads will travel to Homestead for their contests. The winners of the A, B and C games receive an automatic berth to the Orange Bowl event.
The Mighty Mights, made up of Flag division players, will play in pads, but they do not get the opportunity to advance to the finals in Miami.
