Key West City Manager Richard Witker announced his resignation and said he had accepted the assistant city manager position in Boca Raton.

The Key West Lodge No. 551, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, held its memorial service at the San Carlos.

The Rev. George Atkinson, 82 years old, died while conducting services at the Holy Rite Church in the Gospel Hall at 720 Southard St.
