20 YEARS AGO

Sue Barroso, director of advertising and marketing for Historic Tours of America, was elected president of the Greater Key West Chamber of Commerce.

Local writer and 30-year Key West resident Frances Elizabeth Signorelli published her first novel, "Human Foibles."

Key West City Manager Dave King resigned and John Day, city finance director, was named acting manager. The commission also accepted the resignation of City Attorney Hilary Albury and Ignatius M. Lester was appointed.

The Sun & Sand Beach Club, George E Keyes manager, was at 1435 Simonton St.

Assistant Secretary of the Navy Richard Jackson arrived for a visit to the Naval Station.
