Fugitive captured in Keys motel

A Florida man suspected of gunning down four family members at a Thanksgiving dinner was arrested Saturday night at a motel in the Middle Keys.

Three tanks of helium?

When he was arrested, we're told he was about to kill himself, and he had a plastic bag and three tanks of helium. Either he was planning on laughing himself to death with a Mickey Mouse voice, or pulling a "balloon boy" getaway.

Hiding out

I wish i could hide out in KW, i live in upstae NY and i'm sick of all the snow and cold. just wanna come and sleep in the magroves and hang out at mallory square all day. PS im not wanted, even by my wife...

Come on down! there are already hundreds here doing exactly that and my tax dollars get them a place to sleep, food and shower. Come on down!

To All Keys Hotel Owners!!!

If a person checks in to your hotel/motel and tells you that they don't want to be bothered, they pay cash for their room, that they want to clean their own room, you never see them outside of their room to catch some rays by the beach or the pool, and they cover their car with a blanket, most likely that person is running from the law somewhere in the United States!!!!! That is not normal behavior! I can understand someone that wants to rest and recoup, but this was WAY too obvious!!!! So keep your eyes open and notify the police!

I disagree

I would use the above tactics to make a quiet weekend getaway from my wife! No credit cards so she can't track it.. Clean my own room so I could run around in my boxers.. cover my car with a blanket so her friends (aka Lookout Scouts) wouldn't stubble upon my ride.

i agree

i work at a key west motel. if guest want absolute privacy i am not going to call the cops on them. cheese and rice.

sun & fun

THANK YOU! The guy did go out some, believe me.......

You can't hide in the
