For the first time in four seasons, senior basketball player Irekaz Womack made a slam dunk for a Conchs' win during their second to last home game. With an average of 14 points per game, Womack has led a pretty offense for the Conchs on the court. His senior season was full of ups and downs, but his last home game with his teammates was a successful one. "I would say that I was proudest on the court when Clive (Georges), Robert (Hughey) and me dunked the ball at the game against Coral Shores," said Womack. Throughout the season, the boys basketball team has battled through many ups and downs, and all of the players have had to identify their own place and purpose in the game. "As a team player, your responsibilities are to encourage your teammates and have trust in them," said Womack. The camaraderie and sportsmanship that comes along with being on a team pale in comparison to Womack's favorite aspect of playing the game: "Winning."
