20 YEARS AGO

The Key West City Commission agreed to appoint a crime task force. The head of the Hotel and Motel Association said crime had reached the crisis point.

At a meeting of the Key West Elks Club, Henry H. Taylor and William L. Bates were chosen to represent Key West at the annual meeting of the Florida Elk's Association. Bates was the treasurer for the state association.
