FELIX RODRIGUEZ

Felix Rodriguez, a 28-year resident of Key West, originally from Pinar del Rio, Cuba, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010, in his home with his family by his side. Felix was a longtime fisherman out of the Stock Island Sea Lobster Co. He is survived by his wife of 57-years, Zoraida; children, Maria (Alonzo), Viva and Ramon (Rodriguez) and Clara (Laukkanen) of Key West; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A short service was held for him immediately following his passing at Castillo & Thurston's Key West Mortuary with a private ceremony at sea scheduled for a later date. Felix will be dearly missed by his family and friends. On behalf of Felix, the family would like to thank all those who have been a part of their lives and who have helped him over the years. He had many wonderful stories to tell and shared with us all the appreciation he had for his fishing community. Thank you, and we will miss you, "Pipo."
