20 YEARS AGO

About 250 to 300 sign-waving citizens protested plans for military housing at Peary Court ball fields.

The Old Island Restoration Foundation's 1990 House and Garden Tours raised more than $31,000. The foundation gave the final $10,000 of the $50,000 pledged to the restoration of Old City Hall.
