Not too cool for the pool
The American Red Cross will host April Pools Day later this week.
The event is from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the Florida Keys Community College on College Road.
Pool games, prizes and other activities are designed to help children become comfortable in the water, and encourage people of all ages to enroll in Red Cross swimming lessons.
Florida has the nation's highest unintentional drowning rate for kids 4 and younger, and drowning is the second leading cause of death for infants and youngsters, the Red Cross says.
The $20 cost includes refreshments.
See http://www.fkcc.edu/academics/recreation.da for information.
