Former school administrator Monique Acevedo could be sentenced next month after pleading to charges she stole more than $400,000 in school credit card purchases, purchase order reimbursements and adult education course fees.
Public Defender Rosemary Enright, whose office is representing the former adult education coordinator and wife of suspended schools Superintendent Randy...
I think you're also delusional if you think good, honest, hard-working Conchs would allow her to be found 'innocent'. Their children's education and their tax monies are as effected as everyone else's, maybe more so since more of them have kids.
Whatever your real story is, Noob, you're just another Bubba thief who thinks it's ok to rob others. You don't even lie that well. You were called as a fake and a troll way early by the astute people who post on this board.
She's clearly not innocent. She signed the charge slips. She ordered all that crap. She had stuff delivered to her home and to her father's home. She falsified airline tickets. She falsified reports. She took cash which disappeared. There are far too many things that she did all by herself (well, with the help of her nasty, arrogant thug of a crook-husband, Randy). If she's so friggin' innocent, why do you think she's wanting a plea deal? ::snark::
If you're too lame to understand that you are a victim, then perhaps you're just the type who would steal from taxpayers and children as well, Kelliec. Your lack of a moral compass is alarming. We just hope you aren't breeding others just like you.
And indeed, you have the perfect mindset to be the next one up on charges. We'll look for you in the crime report soon. All you have to do is give us your name. That would be, of course, your REAL NAME, not the one you're using here in the Keys, to hide from something you're running from up on the mainland.
She needs to serve some serious time. A prison sentence will speak volumes to the students at our below average high school in Key West. It will be a lesson they will never forget should they one day find themselves in a position in which taxpayers have entrusted them.
If we watch Monique Acevedo walk away from this with a plea, a light sentence, and no remuneration for the hundreds of thousands she stole, then everyone associated with the travesty will be voted out of office in their next election.
It's time to bring this sociopathic woman to justice. This whole country (and Monroe County) has been brought to its knees by Crony Capitalism. Putting this women away will be a warning shot to all local white collar criminals that the People have had enough. You think it doesn't concern too many people? How much would $400,000 have helped the kids? How many more-qualified, non-thieving applicants could have done her job? And who would like to be a friggin' Bubba anyway? The jealousy angle is something that comes from the crooks, thinking everyone wants to waddle about with too much jewelry, pushing innocent people about and bullying others. Sounds like as a "KW Newbie" you've found a great clique to hang with if you think that anyone would be jealous of that ilk.
We can indeed change this. We can put her in jail, make her pay, and hopefully send a message to any other Bubba-crook wannabes who feel that it is ok to steal from taxpayers and children. It is NOT acceptable. It is NOT a matter of hate - it's a matter of the law! We all pay taxes for education, whether we have children or not. We all have a hand in the education of these kids because heaven help us if they don't do better than they're doing now, in educating them. Notice, just this week, a Coast Guard guy was beaten by more Key West teens. Yah...it doesn't matter whether we have kids or not. We're all concerned about the youth in this town, on many levels.
