


KEY WEST -- It was an amazing week in the Key West Coed Softball League last week at the Pepe Hernandez Field.
With the Monday night league coming to a close and the Wednesday night league cranking up for a new season, the hitters had a field day. Five players had perfect 5-for-5 performances and a pair of batters went 4-for-4.
In all, batters banged 315 hits to include five inside-the-park home runs and one young lady sent one sailing over the leftfield fence.
MONDAY NIGHT LEAGUE
JUST US 10, TEAM CREAM 3
Walter Trujillo had a perfect night at the plate going 5-for-5, Oscar Norori drove home four runs on four hits and the daunting Paul Gardner doubled and singled three times to lend a hand in the Just Us win.
Amber Davis stroked a two-bagger and singled twice, J.C. Edwards gapped a trio of base hits, Betty Moyle hammered a two-base hit and a base hit, Caesar Davila singled twice as Ginny Matea and Maritza Lamberson each singled.
Pauly Walterson led Team Cream pouring out three singles, Jennifer Norat banged a pair of doubles, Veronica Brown slapped a base hit and singled, Pam Gonzalez and Nick Hogan each singled twice and James Mechalske, Fatz Yaniz, and Becky Balcer all slurped a base hit.

GREEN MEAN FISHING 6
Conch Farm's Jay Burt cranked out a 4-for-4 night and Amber Davis singled three times. Garrett Beam doubled and clubbed a base hit, Terry Worthington singled twice as Pat Brady, Mill McCleary, Liana Payne, Eric Whitten and Jessica Forsythe each contributed a hit.
Nick Hogan, Ginny Matea and Raul Franco singled three times apiece for Green Mean, Brian Barrios (double), Becki Balcer and James Mechalske each hammered two hits and Jennifer Norat, Greg Gerez and Maritza Lamberson all singled.

Ariana Corsi legged out an inside-the-park homer, doubled and singled sending four home, Tina Godfrey thumped a three-base hit, two-base hit and a base hit and Francisco Ramirez, Pam Gonzalez and Thomas Haas all singled three times topping Amy's hit list. Bobby Lopez, Dave Sweeting, Jimmy Hake and Ginny Matea each roped a base hit.
For the golf club, Kader Schull teed off two singles and Christine Poist, Chris Bridger, Elizabeth Fernandez, Kevin Robertson, Justyna Czerniewska and Nick Traveso all wailed a base hit.
TUESDAY NIGHT LEAGUE
VAGABONDS 20, GRIM'S GRILL 11
Vanessa Kreider hit for the cycle blasting a home run into Virginia Street in a 5-for-5 performance as teammate Vincent Kukal was also perfect with five hits highlighted by an inside-the-park home run and five RBI for Vagabonds. Julia Gonzalez singled four times, Tarzan Hanak drove home five runs via a homer in the park and two singles, Keia Hughes (triple) slugged three hits, Joe Vain, Holly Shea and Roman Nedbal each smacked two singles, Petey Hagenah doubled and Stan Adamcik singled.
Grim's Bridget Woods slugged a three-bagger and singled three times, Jessica Kuperman drove home four runs on a double and two singles, Stan Griffin and Andrew Newguy singled three times apiece, Joe Rozzero drilled two base hits, Matt McLellan homered inside-the-park, Maritza Lamberson nailed a double and Jim Guynn singled.
BAGATELLE 19, STICK & STEIN 4
Neil Mellies ripped five singles for a perfect night at the plate, Kelly Malone doubled three times and singled sending six teammates home and Mac Spotswood hammered four hits for Bagatelle. Ashley Kelly homered inside-the-park and singled twice for six RBI, Bob Prosser cranked a two-bagger and two singles sending three home, Karley Trevithick bashed a two-base hit and two base hits, Leah Garcia and Jianna Hernandez each singled twice as Lucas Bacle and Joey Cooke both added a base hit.
Ginny Matea singled and ripped a two-base hit, James Knowles, Steve Christian and Mellissa Pietruzka each singled twice and Oscar Norori and Dona Rosado both bumped a base hit.

Mike Denton doubled three times as part of his 5-for-5 night, Susana Rivera drove in five runs on a pair of doubles and two singles and Becky Balcer, amazingly, clubbed four base hits to power Key West Hammock at the plate. Fatz Yaniz singled three times, Brandi Ortiz doubled twice, Paul Gardner and Amber Davis each slugged a two-bagger and singled, Thomas Haas roped two base hits as Claude Gardner and Kim Banning both singled.
Ghost Tours' Keia Hughes singled three times, Caryn Grzegorek, Matt Sheehan and Petey Hagenah banged a double and a base hit, Brant Voss, Joe Thurman and Dan Smith each singled twice as Liana Payne and Jen Bohme both rammed a base hit.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT LEAGUE
B.A.D.D. BANDITS 19, DENNY'S 1
Chris Lockridge tripled and drove home three teammates as part of a 5-for-5 night, Steve Joseph was a single short of hitting for the cycle, Sean Moran doubled and singled twice and Cole Newsome roped three base hits leading B.A.D.D. at the plate. Ana Rosa thumped a three-bagger and doubled, Christie Raines singled twice, Angie Koogler bopped a double and Shawanda Lockridge singled.
Denny's Gregorio Contreras doubled and singled, Eric Moreno bashed a two-base hit and Carman Cochran, Pablo Medrano, Henri Kosk and Dustin Shaffer each singled.
TRUMAN AND WHITE CHEVRON 12, SEBAGO PARASAIL 4
Harry Milliken went 4-for-4 to lead the gas house gang, Sharon Wiley drove home three runs on three hits, Dylan Kibler (triple) slugged three hits, Chris LeMay, Ben Blattenberger and Trish Wise each singled twice and Bobby Lowe (4 RBI), Shia Marzetti, Brian Barrios, Josh Gordon and Tangela Thurston all singled.
For Sebago, Nick Hogan, Paulie Walterson and Becki Balcer (double) sailed away with two hits, Brandi Mulligan tripled and
Josh Horton singled.
