Monique Acevedo is at the mercy of Circuit Judge Mark Jones, who alone will decide her punishment next month when she enters a plea to the six felony charges against her.
Her worst-case scenario, based on what the state will ask the judge to do, is 10 years in state prison and 20 years on probation, during which time she would have to pay $1,720 a month in restitution until...
And racist? I saw nothing pertaining to race in the comment you're responding to. And what's with the 'Yankee' thing. Are you aware that the original Conchs were actually from either New England directly, or by way of the Bahamas? That would make you a descendant of a 'Yankee'. Gosh, you just give us a plethora of of material to pick apart, Bubbette.
As for your KWHS pride, well...it's a shame it's all that you had available to you. Based on the testing scores we see these days, I hope if you have kids in the school system, you'll consider moving them to something better. Sometimes if you know nothing different, then you have nothing to just against. Clearly the 'big fish, little pond' theory works for you, but perhaps you would benefit from getting out and experiencing the rest of the world one of these days.
If you'll actually read the posts herein, you'll see very few, if any, posts bashing Conchs. They bash the CROOKS a/k/a Bubbas. There's a difference.
You just don't like it when we call a spade a spade - or a crook a crook - or a Bubba a Bubba. Truth hurts, doesn't it?
No, Virginia - there is no Conch hate here. There are plenty of Bubba haters, though, and it appears you're proud to be part of that criminal Bubba cadre. We are trying to clean up this town. You? You count on all your illegal activities to stay afloat. Have you ever considered living honestly and getting a non-taxpayer-supported-job that might not be generated by your uncle or aunt or father?
