PRINCETON -- Princeton Christian beat Island Christian in volleyball Thursday night, 25-16, 25-8, 25-17.

"Kaelin Mearns, one of the co-captains, led the team and encouraged them," said ICS coach Sheryl Yost. "She played quite well. Abbey Lindholm served several points in the first set. Cailin Reckwerdt, a 9th grader, had a great defensive game. The loss was disappointing, but the season's young with many more matches to go."

The Eagles next play at Colonial PAL at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 14.
