Police: DNA ties suspect to killing
Former Duval Street bouncer arrested early Wednesday in Wisconsin

Police say a blood-stained Fantasy Fest costume links a first-degree murder suspect arrested early Wednesday in Wisconsin to the October bludgeoning death of Jonathan Alvarado.

Key West police detectives obtained an arrest warrant for former Irish Kevin's bar bouncer Peter Erik Hedvall late Tuesday afternoon after DNA test results returned this week confirmed the victim's...

Excellent Job KWPD

The KWPD did an excellent job of collecting the evidence and tieing everything together to end in a successful arrest.

LOL... KWPD Keystone Kops...

had nearly ZERO to do with solving this... it was all FDLE and US Marshals. The city police are too busy beating handcuffed suspects, driving cars into curbs and lying about it, and covering for each others drunken driving to let a little murder interfere with their business. And the sheriffs are too busy letting their daughters steal sandwiches and slamming into electric cars whilst fiddling with their laptops.

Back off. The KWPD still

Back off. The KWPD still had to make the phone call to get other agencies to do it. Hey at least they helpd solve a crime. This is a good thing, no need to be negative all the time.

Most police work is cooperative

KWPD did the local investigation. They did the interviews, collected the evidence, got the DNA ran. FDLE apparently executed a search warrant which provided more information. KWPD interviewed the suspect but before the DNA results did not have enough evidence to make an arrest. The suspect left town. Once he traveled out of state, then yes, the US Marshal helped with executing the arrest warrant along with local officers in Waukesha Wisconsin. There are certainly times to criticize the KWPD, but this is NOT one of them. Some people just have an agenda they use every opportunity to blindly advance.

Thanks.

Thank you to the Key West Police Department for making an arrest in this horrible murder. Certainly sounds like they have a solid case.

Hell yeah!!!!!

Hell yeah!!!!!

Thanks

Well Done KWPD!!!

Can't knock the KWPD

For this one. Nice work on the day of .... And nice followup. You bring confidence back to the community.

yes it would be nice to belive this

However the US Marshal Service handled the majority

Hmm, last time I checked US

Hmm, last time I checked US Marshal Service didnt do murder investigations, they just pick up fugitives after the police are done with investigations, then are asked to go get them when they are in another state or country. Great job KWPD for the finding out who did the crime and using resources to reach out and catch him.

all the blood work/testing/etc...

Was done by FDLE and always is. The FDLE are the ones who "found out who did the crime" as you so charmingly state. The Keystone Kops gathered the evidence at the scene (MAYBE, frankly FDLE prob. did that too)... at LEAST they didn't screw that up. Let's hope they got it right or didn't plant false evidence, which I KNOW first hand occurs with these thugs. The KWPD are the proverbial "broken clock" - even THEY are correct twice a day... the rest of the day, they are totally incompetent and even downright corrupt.

Looks like he's about to

Looks like he's about to cry. Good.
