Truman Waterfront park plan OK'd
'Monumental' approval comes after 12 years of debate

Key West city commissioners approved a plan Monday night that is a framework for the development of land granted to the city by the Navy 15 years ago.

While much work remains for the park slated for the Truman Waterfront to become a reality -- workshops and other meetings are expected to continue into the next year -- Monday's vote was seen as an important step forward.

Given the average life expectancy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life_expectancy anyone 55 or older will never see it completed at the rate they have been going so far.

Welcome to your new Peasant Park. From this park you will be able to view the local tribal rulers as they develop the rest of the public property for their profit and entertainment. Don't forget your parasol it's awful hot out there.
