Centennial promotes Carrigan

Centennial Bank recently promoted Michael Carrigan from executive vice president to regional senior lender.

Carrigan joined Centennial Bank in October 2011 as the most recent step in a 35-year banking career that included nearly a decade with the former TiB Bank, where he was president and CEO.

Originally from Connecticut, Carrigan and his wife, Susan, moved to the Keys in 2004.

Hospital hires new finance chief

Lower Keys Medical Center recently welcomed Martha "Marty" Bakos to its senior leadership team as chief financial officer. Bakos has more than 20 years of hospital and health care financial management, along with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

Bakos most recently was CFO for Community Health Systems' facilities in Arizona, Oklahoma and New Mexico. She previously worked for Health Management Associates, the company that owns Lower Keys Medical Center, at Charlotte Regional Medical Center in Punta Gorda.

First State's website recognized

First State Bank of the Florida Keys' website, KeysBank.com, was featured in a banking publication called American Banker, Bank Technology News.

The article commended the bank's dual-purpose website, which provides the community with online banking services as well as local news, sports, weather, community events, photos and Keys history.

Greenberg takes theater reins

Marathon Community Theatre recently hired Bonnie Greenberg as general manager for the local playhouse.

Greenberg was the nonprofit theatre's first general manager nearly 10 years ago and most recently has been working as a fundraising consultant.

She is currently seeking volunteers to help with front-of-house activities for the upcoming performances of the family-friendly musical "Forever Plaid."
