Patricia Ann Dixon

Patricia Ann Dixon, 50, died on Friday, May 4, 2012, at her home on Ramrod Key after a yearlong battle with cancer.

Patty was born on Dec. 4, 1961, in Key West, Fla. She was raised in Key West, married and had four children.

In 1990, she moved to Naples, Fla., where she lived until returning to the Keys in 1996. She worked for Monroe County Pre-Trial Services and later for MWR Naval Air Station.

Patty's greatest joy was being a wife, mother and grandmother, and she enjoyed boating and fishing, motorcycle riding and rollerblading.

She was an active member of the Vineyard Community Church on Big Pine Key, Fla.

Patty is survived by her husband, Thomas Dixon: and three children, Mia (Roberto) Santos of Summerland Key, Fla., Vanessa Carvajal of Texas, Luis (Falen) Carvajal of Leesburg, Fla.; two stepchildren, Jared and Andrea Sargent; her mother, Janice Roberts of Kissimmee, Fla.; three brothers, Joseph Roberts and George (Jackie) Roberts of Vero, Fla., and John (Becky) Roberts of Kissimmee; and one sister, Peggy (Carl) Sousa of Orlando, Fla.; and one granddaughter, Leilani.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Roberts Sr.; her son Juan Carlos Carvajal; and her brother, William Roberts Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2012, at the Vineyard Community Church, 100 County Road, Big Pine Key.
