Power outages affect 1,600 KEYS customers 3 police charged in immigrant beatings

KEY WEST: About 1,600 Keys Energy Services' customers lost power Wednesday night.

At 6:42 p.m., 1,300 lost power for 51 minutes due to an electrical discharge off an insulator on a tie line pole in the 3100 block of Flagler Avenue, spokesman Julio Barroso said.

About 300 on Stock Island lost power for 29 minutes due to a blown transformer, he said.
