County warily approaches budget
Unanticipated expenses could add up to $5 million -- or not

Monroe County Administrator Roman Gastesi has summed up the county's approach to the upcoming 2012-13 fiscal year budget with a football reference.

The county will have to tackle the budget, which goes into effect Oct. 1, much like professional football quarterback Peyton Manning calls plays, or audibles, at the line of scrimmage after reading the defense, Gastesi said.

How Much Is Being Spent on No Name Key?

Given how 'tight' things are (again) I'd like to know how much of tax payer money is being spent on litigation related to No Name Key. My gosh it seems the County is spending a lot and loosing a lot at a time we need all of the money we can muster. I'd ask the County to stop doing the work on that Alicia Putney and make the residents who want power pay for it and be done with all of this wasteful spending and sad infighting.
