Knowles (Spencer)

Jack Knowles, 84 years old, died in his home surrounded by his MARC House family on Tuesday, July 10, 2012.

Jack was a Conch and lived in Key West all of his life. After the passing of his mother, Sarah Estelle Knowles, and his father, William Nelson Spencer, Jack went to live with his cousins Marsha and Raymond Cox and their children at 820 Ashe St. Jack moved into the MARC Windsor Group Home in July 2000.

Jack left behind many friends at MARC and in the Key West community who remember him fondly for his kind heart, wonderful spirit and love of anything related to Key West.

An informal service and celebration of his life will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012, at The Basilica of St. Mary Star of the Sea church in Key West. Refreshments will follow the celebration at the Rainbow Café, 1401 Seminary St.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to MARC Inc., P.O. Box 428, Key West, FL 33041.
