Gastesi proposes 'happy budget'
Administrator recommends modest spending cut, slight decrease in taxes

Florida Keys property owners could see a slight decrease in their tax bills in October, according to a preliminary budget presentation Wednesday at a meeting of the Monroe County Commission.

County Administrator Roman Gastesi proposed a property tax rate for the 2012-13 fiscal year that would cost property owners $414 per $100,000 of taxable property value. This year, owners...

There's Nothing Happy About Gastesi-He's A Sad Excuse of A Man.

Pleas were made to the County Commission not to re-hire this reckless, negligent and irresponsible con man. The citizens were once again ignored. Gastesi squeezed every last penny he could get out of the Taxpayers. The Commission gave him everything that he wanted. As I understand it, his part in the theft of county equipment has yet to be determined. Gastesi's lack of controls created an environment for the ctizens to be ripped off. The County Commission is at fault. Maybe they will Tax us to make up the difference.

just a diversion

Sounds like a good way to divert attention away from the Druckemiller scandal that spreads far and wide.

We should have a decrease in the budget

due to the many County employees , Gastesi first losing thier benifits packages, retirement funds, and bloated salaries since they should be charged and convicted of recieving stolen goods from Druckmiller. Only Carruthers did proper procedure, the rest are just as guilty as Druckmiller and should be held accountable. "Recieving stolen goods" is a crime and Gaseti bought 5.

And Gastesi thinks this is 'good news'?

So, let's see. You gave them a 3% raise to compensate for a state mandate that they contribute 3% towards pensions...but since it was overturned, did you take the 3% back? No. Now they get 3% 'just because', right? Classic county and city government crap. Plus they also got a 2% across the board raise, which means they got total a 5% raise at a time when most people are just lucky to have a job and in private sector, there are no raises. And this raise wasn't even performance driven. They got it just for breathing, huh?

And Gastesi thinks this is 'good news'?

Gastesi

don't care if you're dead or alive......

Just what the hell do these

Just what the hell do these thieves do for us on a daily basis anyway?
