Josephine Rodriguez Hill

Josephine Rodriguez Hill of Key West passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Lower Keys Medical Center at the age of 91.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Annie Delpino Rodriguez.

Josephine is survived by one son, the Rev. Ernie DeLoach of Key West, Josephine Wilson and Narvell (Wayne) Crittenden of Duluth, Minn., Anita Beal of Naples, Fla., and Elizabeth Albury of Key West, 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

She was employed for many years at Boca Chica Naval Air Station and was later a switchboard operator for Boza Cab Service.

In 1968 she moved to Duluth, Minn., where she resided until five years ago when she returned to Key West. At the time of her death she was a resident at Bayshore Manor Home.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight, Friday, July 20, 2012, at Dean-Lopez Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of her life at 4 p.m. Saturday, also at Dean-Lopez. Internment will be in Key West Cemetery. Dr. Jonathan Carey of Glad Tidings Community Church will preside over the services.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Bayshore Manor in her name.

Dean-Lopez Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements.
