LOWER KEYS: About 14,000 Keys Energy Services' customers lost power for 23 minutes at 1:03 p.m. Wednesday, said spokesman Julio Barroso.

He said a fault in a Florida Power Light substation in Homestead triggered the outage, which cascades down the tieline to protect the system from surges. Power was restored to all by 1:26 p.m., Barroso said.
