Voters hit primary polls Tuesday

Within 48 hours Monroe County voters will have made their primary picks for sheriff, state attorney, clerk of court, Mosquito Control Districts 1 and 3, and then await the Nov. 6 general election that will name the winners.

The campaigning over the past year for these four races has largely centered on who is the most qualified for the jobs, yet Democrats Catherine Vogel...

She knew it would pass?

Wow, all of the school board members were working hard to encourage people to vote in that primary, but this candidate knew it would pass? Why didn't she pipe up then and save them the work? Why didn't she tell the supervisor of elections not to hold the primary because she has the results? She didn't vote in 2012 or in 2008 for the school funding. Be accountable for your actions, or in this case, inaction. How incredibly ironic the Teachers Union endorsed a person who didn't bother to vote to ensure the operating funds were available.

Some teachers are not happy

Some teachers are not happy about that either!

Talbott is a good planner?

Talbott is a good planner? She didn't worry because she knew it would pass? I guess in addition to planning abilities she is also psychic! She might be because she has already planned her party at Tavern and Town. A bit pricey for a school district board member who has not given anything to her campaign but loans, which means she will get her money back and didn't pay a dime to run. Says a lot about her. I think as a sign of good faith she should have personally given herself money not just loans. Her Facebook page did make me laugh, she is willing to give people a ride to the polls to vote. Too bad she didn't make it to the polls to vote in the last election!

Enough of Andy

20 years of failure is enough, Andy. Stop slinging mud.

Voters

Good luck to all the candidates that had the courage to put their names on the line, now it is time for the rest of us to keep our mouth shut and get out and vote on Tuesday, my vote is already in the box, is yours?

Well said.

Time to go vote.

Voters

State Senator

We have a chance to elect the first Senator from the Keys and for the Keys, in decades! Vote Ron Saunders on Tuesday.

Saunders sold us out to the Sanctuary

along with that other congressman who lied to us about how they would vote the referendum majority, what was that ambulance chasers name? At least Saunders tried reduce the increased boater registration fees, I'm going to vote , so if you don't like my political views , you had better get out and vote also !

Vote for Saunders

The Citizen didn't even mention the Senate race which may be the most important one on the ballot for the Keys. Also not mentioned was that the respected Politifact ruled the negative mail ads we are receiving about Ron from his opponent are FALSE! That might be useful news when voting on Tuesday! Saunders needs a big turnout from the Keys so that we have a Senator from the Keys instead of another no-show from Dade County.
