Mark Porter faces many Herculean tasks

I do not know if I should congratulate or commiserate with Mark Porter on his becoming the first appointed superintendent. He takes the helm at a time when myriad problems are facing his administration, the district and the School Board. How quickly and how well he addresses these problems will tell us much about what the future holds....
