Boy, 10, hit twice on U.S.1

A 10-year-old boy from Naples was in intensive care in Miami Sunday evening after being hit by two vehicles Saturday night while walking along U.S. 1.

Authorities were looking for one of the vehicles, a white SUV that did not stop.

Was he in the middle of the

Was he in the middle of the northbound lane, and not at the far right side of the lane? The first driver swerves to the right(?) to avoid him but still clipped him with the drivers-side door mirror? Where the hell was the other person(s) reportedly with him? Then dad takes off back to Naples for family affairs? I can't think of anything more important than being at my son's bedside while fighting to live. SMH.

Agree. Very shady.

Really, what was he doing on US1 at that or any hour? This sounds like some sort of lack of proper adult supervision at least.

How tragic!!
