NAS KEY WEST, Fla. – Naval Air Station Key West has set Hurricane Condition of Readiness Two (COR II) in preparation for Tropical Storm Isaac.

COR II is set when a storm has assumed a definite pattern and threatens the area with destructive winds expected within 24 hours.

Commanding Officer Capt. Patrick Lefere has ordered all RV Park and Boca Chica Marina residents to evacuate today.

The current plan is for base residents to shelter in their homes and they are strongly encouraged to prepare to stay there through Sunday night.
