well

the water surrounding the island was much cooler than usual so I felt it would not gain too much strength. We were very fortunate to have gotten by with this and no loss of electricity.Thank you Jesus and I am Jewish.

KOTS is closed ? Is that why there are bums

everywhere ? They should have been sent someplace safe , like North Dakota. The newspaper downplaying this storm is irresponsible , this can and could be another Wilma. Remember ,? it barely blew at all and then the surge came; seems the City and everyone else has forgotten that lesson. Who knows it may be a good time to have your boat in front of your house.

yeah but

Wilma came from the west too with an unusual dynamic for winds and surge.

As predicted

The storm was as local knowledge knew. Trap, I would think you would know better than to buy into the weather channel BS.

C Harbor, the weather channel waffled ,

and couldn't commit to anything. Experience tells me to prep for the worst , and be relieved when it's a minor event. It's too easy for these storms to get ugly quickly. You will eat the extra food , use the generator gas in your car, and open your shutters. Your yard is cleaner since you trimmed and threw out some junk you might have been saving. So , I don't feel it's effort wasted, still a productive day .

All I know is the woman on the weather channel

had some lovely lungs on her............

Eating crow?

The media did NOT downplay this storm. If anything, it was hyped to hell. And guess what? NOTHING HAPPENED!
