Charlie Wolfson

Señor Lobo (Charlie Wolfson) of Key West, Fla., formerly of Cleveland and St. Louis, beloved husband of Simone, cherished brother of Renny and brother-in-law and friend to Anne Marie; devoted uncle of Kimberly and Amanda; godfather of Kyle Campbell; caretaker for Paco and the late Lily and Scarface; dear friend of many, died peacefully Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, in the presence of his loving family. Charlie graduated from Cleveland Heights High School, 1965, and from Washington University, 1969. He served as a college administrator, an opera company executive, a securities analyst, and a financial adviser. He retired in Key West 17 years ago, where a community of artists, sailors, tradespeople and others became devoted to his friendship, quiet humor, intellect, and peacefulness. His generous devotion to his friends and family will never be forgotten. His enthusiasm for opera, film, sports, chess, and literature enriched his relationships and elevated him above the mundane.
