20 YEARS AGO

The road to the Keys was open and the tourists were welcomed back and City Electric System was receiving power from the mainland ending the shortage.

A two-seater Cuban air force training plane was used by its pilot and cadet passenger to fly to Key West.

Florida lobster fishermen were not permitted to use doubter's boxes after Sept. 15. The doubter's box was a container in which the fishermen could put lobster of doubtful legal size to be examined by a conservation officer.
